Five Reasons We Do Business in Indiana
“Why Indiana?”
Our big-city clients sometimes ask why we based Turbines Inc in the “middle of nowhere.”
Jim Mills started Turbines Inc founded this PT6A engine shop, specializing in Canadian engines that are SO essential to agriculture, firefighting, and business aviation in the U.S.
He thought Terre Haute, Indiana was perfect 40+ years ago, and we keep finding more reasons to be grateful to be here, rather than anywhere else!
#5 – Indiana is a tech hub.
The fact that they have Salesforce Marketing cCloud, Infosys Technology & Innovation Hub, Genesys, Jobvite, UKG and Tangoe have Indiana as their headquarters.
While this doesn’t impact us directly, more technology and more money means better infrastructure!
#4 – Indiana has a great talent pool.
Top business and engineering schools like Purdue University, Indiana University, University of Notre Dame and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology produce thousands of young tech leaders
#3 – Sports!
NCAA, Colts, Pacers, Indy 500. We’re big fans.
#2 – Midwest Cities rank better than East or West Coast metropolises for quality of life.
We get to skip the nightmare traffic, pollution, and politics!
#1 – No sales tax on aircraft parts and repairs.
"There are people all over the United States who are jealous of our legislation," said Martin Ingram, who operates Muncie Aviation Co., which has 58 full time employees. "Because of this bill, all of those people will be able to keep their jobs."
